Taking a long-term view, the Cambodian government plans to promote the development of 36 new power projects, the vast majority of which are clean and renewable energy. Currently, 13 projects are under construction with a total power generation capacity of 1,275 MW. At the same time, another 23 projects have been approved for development, with a total capacity of 5,950 MW. These projects aim to achieve the goal of increasing the share of renewable energy in Cambodia's electricity mix to at least 70% by 2030.
