The Asian Development Bank provides concessional loans to support Cambodia.
On October 10th, Minister of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia, Bin Phorn, presided over the completion and commissioning ceremony of the Phnom Chamkar city sewage system and sewage treatment plant construction sub-project under the Tonle Sap Lake Urban Environment Improvement Project in Phnom Chamkar City. This project was supported by concessional loans from the Asian Development Bank, with a total coverage area of 247 hectares. The planned area of the sewage treatment plant is 15 hectares, and the actual construction land is 4.5 hectares. The completed sewage treatment system has a comprehensive daily treatment capacity of 5,400 cubic meters, and has connected the sewage pipes of about 500 residential and office buildings. Additionally, 1,293 poor households have been provided with sanitary toilets. These achievements will jointly contribute to improving the living well-being and environmental hygiene of the residents in Phnom Chamkar City.
