China Energy Construction Guangxi Research Institute designs Laos Namtahe No. 1 Hydropower Station a

On October 26, local time, all units of the Nantahe No. 1 Hydropower Station in Laos, which was surveyed and designed by the Guangxi Institute of China Energy Construction Planning and Design Group, passed the trial operation and officially put into operation for power generation.

The Nanta River No. 1 Hydropower Station is located on the Nanta River, a tributary of the Mekong River in Pokho Province, northern Laos, with a total installed capacity of 168,000 kWh. After the power station is put into operation, it can supply 759 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to northern Laos every year, and it is expected to enable more than 2 million people to use green electricity. This will not only solve the power shortage problem in northern Laos, but also bring substantial changes to the lives of local residents, which will help promote the Laos South Tower. The economic and social development of the provinces surrounding the river has had a positive impact. At the same time, after the completion of the power station, it will continue to improve the living conditions of the immigrants in the reservoir area and deepen the traditional friendship between China and Laos.

Since the start of construction in October 2011, Guangxi Institute has been adhering to the corporate tenet of "lean creation of value, quality products leading the future", abiding by the awareness of quality products, careful design, overcoming complex factors such as geological complexity and inconvenience of transportation, and successfully achieving river closure and dams Milestone targets such as filling, dam face concrete pouring, closing gates for water storage, and commissioning of power generation to ensure high-quality performance of the project.
