The Guangxi Women's Delegation successfully visited Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam

On December 16-25, Liu Yongmei, Chairman and Party Secretary of the Women’s Federation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, led a 6-member Guangxi Women’s Delegation to Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, and successively met with the Dean of the National Women’s Institute of Thailand, Wandi Kunchong Enyakong Zhu Chairman Jiaren, Standing Member of the Executive Committee of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Member of the Central Committee, Chairman of the Lao Women’s Federation Central Committee Inrawan Chobhunphan, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Representative of the National Assembly of Vietnam, and Chairman of the Women’s Federation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha The women's organizations of the three countries have carried out friendly exchanges, enhanced mutual understanding, and promoted the cause of women in China and the development of women, achieving the purpose of consolidating traditional friendship, telling Chinese stories, and promoting people-to-people bonds.


    On December 17, in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, Chairman Wandi Kunchong Enyakon Zhujiaren of the National Women’s Institute of Thailand extended a warm welcome to the Guangxi women’s delegation. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on promoting women's entrepreneurship in China and Thailand, protecting women's rights, culture, education and health. Chairman Wandi Kunchong Nyakon Zhujiaren expressed his appreciation for the Chinese government's enshrining gender equality into the national Constitution as a basic national policy and implementation, and governments at all levels promulgated and implemented the women's development program to protect women's rights and interests. She hopes that women's organizations of the two countries will strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and Thailand will learn from China's experience in top-level policy design.


    On December 19, in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, Lao People’s Democratic Republic Executive Committee Standing Committee Member, Central Committee Member, and Lao Women’s Federation Chairman Inrawan Choppenphan enthusiastically approached the Guangxi Women’s Delegation. The two parties respectively introduced the development of women’s careers, and on the next step to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides’ women in entrepreneurial innovation exchanges and training, ethnic culture, family building, etc., especially the Guangxi Women’s Federation and the Lao Luang Prabang Province Women’s Federation signed a friendly cooperation agreement A consensus was reached. Chairman Inrawan Choppenpan expressed her strong support and will facilitate the signing of the agreement as soon as possible. She hopes that the two sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields and look forward to leading a delegation to Guangxi for a return visit as soon as possible next year. The delegation also visited the Luang Prabang Provincial Women's Federation and discussed the specific content of the exchanges and cooperation between the two districts and provinces.


    On December 23, in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, representative of the Vietnamese National Assembly, and chairman of the Women’s Federation, had a friendly meeting with the delegation. The two sides agreed that in recent years, the Guangxi Women’s Federation and the Vietnam Women’s Federation have led women’s organizations in the border areas of the two countries to carry out pragmatic cooperation in anti-drug and AIDS publicity, combating transnational trafficking of women and children, conducting women’s skills training, and intensifying economic and trade and cultural exchanges, and have achieved fruitful results. The Guangxi Women’s Federation in the border area regularly exchanges visits with the provincial women’s federations of Cao Binh, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, etc. and their grassroots women’s federations, especially on the International Anti-drug Day each year to jointly carry out the theme of "Chinese and Vietnamese women join hands to prevent drugs from entering my home" Publicity and education activities have become a brand activity recognized by both parties and have played an active role in promoting the harmonious development of border areas. Both sides stated that in the future, under the framework of promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road”, the exchanges and cooperation between women in multiple fields will be further consolidated and promoted, and the innovation and development of women's undertakings in both countries will be promoted.


    During the visit, the Guangxi women's delegation also visited the Guangxi Women's Federation of Thailand, the Thai Women's Status Promotion Association, the Lao Women's Hall of Fame, the Lao Women's Training Center, the Women's Federation of Luang Prabang Province of Laos, and the Women's Federation of Lang Son Province of Vietnam. The chairman of the Women's Federation of four districted cities in Liuzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang and Guigang in Guangxi accompanied the delegation to visit.
