This book is also the first herbal medicine book in Laos.

    From January 3 to 4, a delegation led by Miao Jianhua, a member of the Party Group of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Health Committee and Director of Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden, visited Laos and participated in the " The handover ceremony of the manuscript of the Lao Herbal Medicine.

    At the handover ceremony, Miao Jianhua first introduced the compilation of the "Lao Herbal Medicine". He said that the "Lao Herbal Medicine Code" is for common and multiple diseases in the country. It is compiled based on the traditional medicine resources already in Laos and still used by the Lao people and with reference to the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" (2010 edition) standards. "We hope to promote the publication of the Lao Herbal Medicine Code as soon as possible, play a role in promoting the development of the traditional medicine industry in Laos, and speed up the compilation of the second volume of the Lao Herbal Medicine Code."

    Khamphone Phouthavong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health of Laos, stated that the Lao and China have cooperated to compile the "Lao Herbal Medicine" this time, although the time is short, but the quality of the compilation is high. It is hoped that both parties can take the handover ceremony as a new starting point to jointly promote the development of traditional medicine in Laos, and use traditional medicine to improve and protect the basic medical health of the Lao people. At the same time, it is hoped that China can provide more support and assistance in scientific research, personnel training and the construction of the Laos Medicinal Botanical Garden. Let the two sides cooperate on the basis of the census of traditional medicine resources and the publication of the "Lao Herbal Medicine" as an opportunity to build Laos into a demonstration zone for the development of traditional medicine in the ASEAN region.
