191 suspects of telecommunications network fraud were escorted back to Zhengzhou from Laos
The reporter learned from the Ministry of Public Security that at 17:00 on the 11th, as two Chinese civil aviation chartered planes landed at Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, 191 criminal suspects who used the Internet to scan orders to commit fraud were escorted back to China from Laos by our public security organs. More than 800 cases involving many provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China were successfully solved, involving more than 60 million yuan.
Since last year, there have been many telecommunications network fraud cases in Zhengzhou, Nanyang, Xuchang and other places in Henan. The victim believes in false propaganda that online ordering can get rebates, and after contacting the fraudsters on social platforms such as QQ, he completes the task of ordering ordering according to their guidelines. The cost of ordering is paid by the victim. After the victim gradually fell into the trap of fraud, not only was he unable to obtain the so-called rebate, his order fees were eventually defrauded by fraudsters, and the amount of fraud ranged from 5,000 yuan to 30,000 yuan.
Public security organs of Henan Province set up a task force to conduct investigations, and initially found that the fraud dens involved in the case were located in Laos. In December last year, the Ministry of Public Security sent a working group composed of the police of the Henan Provincial Public Security Agency to Laos to carry out anti-fraud and crime police law enforcement cooperation, and gradually ascertain the specific locations of multiple fraud dens and the organizational structure of criminal gangs in Laos.
In recent days, my working group and the Lao police carried out 5 operations to collect networks from 9 fraud dens, knocked out 11 criminal gangs, and arrested 191 criminal suspects. Bank cards, computers, mobile phones, fraud scripts, etc. were seized on the spot. A large number of criminal tools. Subsequently, the relevant departments of Laos decided to transfer the above-mentioned criminal suspects to our side for handling. On January 11, in accordance with the arrangements of the Ministry of Public Security, the Henan Provincial Public Security Organs organized civilian police to escort him back to China.
It is reported that in response to the new situation and new characteristics of illegal and criminal telecommunications networks, the Ministry of Public Security has organized a nationwide one-year round of special operations to crack down on illegal and criminal telecommunications networks since December last year. At the same time, the public security organs reminded the general public to effectively enhance their awareness of fraud prevention and refrain from credulous propaganda such as "Internet rebate" or "Do not leave home, earn thousands of dollars a day" to avoid being cheated.
