Yunnan Provincial Government Delegation Visited Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos
From March 26 to April 4, 2019, Zong Guoying, member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Executive Deputy Governor, led a Yunnan Provincial Government delegation to visit Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos.
During his stay in Myanmar, Zong Guoying met with the Ministers of the Ministry of Planning and Finance and the Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar, and the chief executives of Mandalay and Yangon provinces. During his stay in Vietnam, he met with Wang Tinghui, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, and the Deputy Foreign Ministry. Minister, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Haiphong Municipal People’s Committee; During his stay in Lao, I met with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee Politburo, Chairman of the National Front Central Sai Song Phong, the Minister of Industry and Trade and the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Secretary Also governor and so on. In addition, the delegation also visited the Chinese embassies and consulates in Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos, and conducted field investigations on the three major overseas routes of China-Myanmar, China-Vietnam, and China-Laos economic corridors and cooperation projects invested and constructed by Yunnan enterprises abroad.
This visit has intensified high-level exchanges between Yunnan and the three countries, reached many important consensuses, promoted deepening and solid cooperation in various fields, and injected Yunnan's impetus into promoting the "Belt and Road" and the construction of China-Myanmar, China-Vietnam, and China-Laos economic corridors.
