The number of passengers on China-Laos railway exceeded 10 million
As of January 31, a total of 20,000 passenger trains had been operated on the China-Laos railway, carrying 10.3 million passengers, according to the China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., LTD., on February 1.
As of January 31, an average of 56 passenger trains had been running on the China section, carrying 8.7 million passengers in total. An average of eight passenger trains operate on the Laos section every day, carrying a total of 1.6 million passengers.
It is reported that the number of passenger service stations on the China-Laos railway has increased from 7 in the initial period to 10 now, enabling bullet trains to run on the same line with ordinary speed trains. Ticket booths have been opened in major cities of Laos to extend the advance ticket hours, which greatly facilitates train travel for Lao people.
