Laos

In order to implement the instructions of the two governments to strengthen cooperation and development in the energy sector, especially in the fields of electricity and coal import, Vietnam's Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hung Nyan on December 9 chaired a meeting to promote coal trade cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen said that in accordance with the high-level agreement between Vietnam and Laos, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Laos signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the coal sector. This is an important event, marking a new milestone in energy cooperation between the two countries.
