The Cambodia-Laos Parliamentary Friendship Group held a meeting in Phnom Penh
The Cambodia-Laos Parliamentary Friendship Group held a bilateral meeting at the Cambodian National Assembly Building in Phnom Penh on the afternoon of May 7th. The two sides reached important consensus on further strengthening cooperation between the parliaments.
The delegation from Cambodia was led by Loy Sopha, the chairperson of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and the chairperson of the Third Committee of the National Assembly. The delegation from Laos was led by Vongsack Phanthavong, the chairperson of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and the chairperson of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee.
This meeting was held during the official friendly visit of the Lao National Assembly delegation led by Vongsak Pantavong to Cambodia from May 6th to 11th. During the talks, both sides unanimously expressed their commitment to expanding and deepening exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the parliaments of the two countries and promoting more fruitful results in bilateral relations.
Representatives of the parliaments of the two countries conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as how to enhance exchanges of legislative experience and improve cooperation mechanisms, demonstrating a firm determination to jointly promote regional peace and development.
