Laos holds special meeting on building Lao language database
ASEAN Headline Vientiane, December 5th - On December 4th, a special conference on the development of a high-quality Lao language database was held in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The aim of this conference was to promote the establishment of a high-quality Lao language database to facilitate the development of local artificial intelligence.
The conference aimed to bring together domestic and foreign Lao linguists, writers, news media workers, and artificial intelligence developers to exchange experiences and discuss how to find and integrate high-quality Lao language resources, laying the foundation for the development of a high-quality Lao language database and promoting the development of Lao artificial intelligence.
The Lao Journalists Association actively coordinated and was committed to establishing an exchange platform between language standard experts and artificial intelligence developers. Through exchanging experiences, both sides realized that the absence of any one party could lead to the imperfection of the Lao artificial intelligence system, and they believed that there is huge potential for development in the local area that can be used to build the aforementioned database.
