Hainan launched a "one-trip, multi-stop" tourism program for Thai tourists, helping the tourism economy of the two places recover quickly.

The "one-trip and multi-stop" tourism model launched in Hainan this time refers to the connecting tourism products that take Hainan as the transit hub and cover "Thailand, Hainan and inland cities of China". In addition, Hainan has also developed targeted tourism products that meet Thailand's tourism needs, such as root-seeking culture, Buddhist culture, food + tourism, etc.

It is reported that the Hainan delegation is the first Chinese provincial delegation to promote tourism and culture in Thailand in 2023. At the promotion meeting, Hainan Travel Agency Association and Thailand Outbound Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement, aiming at establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism, jointly promoting the "one trip, multiple stops" tourism cooperation mode between Thailand and Thailand, promoting the resumption of international direct flight routes between the two places, realizing mutual transport of tourists from both sides, and helping the rapid recovery of tourism economy between the two places.

Hainan and Thailand are one of each other's important source markets. The first international flight between Haikou and Bangkok after the recovery of the epidemic also landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport in the morning of the same day, carrying 131 Chinese tourists, which kicked off the Jongthai tour.

Vinsh Kuhnkaiu, deputy director general of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, said that the Thai government attaches great importance to promoting the recovery of the Chinese tourist market, and Hainan has always been one of the most important tourist sources of Thailand. The tourism characteristics of the two places should seek common ground while shelving differences.

It is known that Hainan's tourism industry is resilient and recovers quickly. The number of tourist arrivals and income during the Spring Festival in 2023 has achieved a significant increase compared with that in 2019. In this promotion, products such as Hainan Circumnavigation Road, Haihua Island and Changying 100 theme Park attracted the interest of tourism operators in Thailand. The tourism industry in Thailand said that through this promotion, they have seen the visa-free policy of 59 countries in Hainan and the Hainan market with 100 million Chinese tourists. They hope that with the continuous encryption of routes, they will bring greater cooperation space for the tourism in Thailand.
