Singapore Airlines Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to Singapore passenger route first flight
Singapore Airlines passenger flight SQ843 from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (Tianfu Airport) to Singapore successfully made its maiden flight on Monday.
All international passenger flights from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport will be diverted to Tianfu Airport from midnight Saturday. Singapore Airlines held a ceremony at the departure hall of Tianfu Airport Terminal T1 on Monday to celebrate its successful maiden flight. The flight is operated on a long-range Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a three-class layout and operates every Tuesday. The time of departure is 9:50 a.m. from Singapore Changi Airport, and the time of arrival is 14:35 a.m. from Tianfu Airport. The return flight is from Tianfu Airport at 15:50 and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport at 20:45 (all times local).
It is understood that Singapore Airlines former wholly-owned regional subsidiary - Singapore Silkair opened in 2002 Chengdu and Singapore routes. With the merger of Silkair into Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines will officially open passenger and cargo mixed routes between Singapore and Chengdu from October 11, 2022.
