The two units of the Huadian Westport project were put into production at the end of last year and officially put into commercial operation on March 31 this year. Huadian West Port Project is a key project of China Huadian to implement the "Belt and Road" Initiative, and is currently the largest power supply project invested by China in Cambodia. The project adheres to the concept of safety, green and environmental protection, adopts Chinese standards, Chinese technology and Chinese equipment, and is currently the support power project with the largest installed capacity, the most advanced indicators and the highest level of environmental protection in Cambodia. The annual generating capacity can reach 5 billion KWH, and the installed capacity accounts for 18.35% of the total installed capacity of Cambodia. It is a leading backbone enterprise in the Cambodian power industry.

"The Huadian West Port project is an important practice in the construction of China-Cambodia community of common destiny in the new era. When the project is completed and put into operation, it will form a new development pattern of mutual benefit between water and fire with the previously invested downstream hydropower station of Elesay, which is of great significance in alleviating Cambodia's power shortage, improving Cambodia's power supply structure and improving Cambodia's power infrastructure." Feng Yingshan, chairman of Huadian Westport Power Generation Co., LTD., said that since the beginning of this year, the Westport project has grasped the golden period of Cambodia's dry season power generation under the requirements of "three guarantees" to ensure safety, electricity and quality, and fully guaranteed the stable and full generation of the unit, with a total power generation of 2.749 billion KWH in the first half of the year, completing 63.2% of the annual target tasks, and the overall operating condition is good. In the first half of the year, the electricity generation accounted for 34% of Cambodia's national electricity generation, becoming the largest power generation operator in Cambodia.

Feng Yingshan said that the above achievements are the result of the concerted efforts and innovation of the Chinese and Cambodian employees of Huadian West Port Company. First, formulate a sound safety management system and supervision mechanism, regularly carry out special inspections, and build a strong safety barrier. As of the end of June, the unit has been in continuous safe production for 243 days, and the average load rate of the two units has reached 95.51%. The second is to actively carry out small index competition, tap the economic performance potential of the unit, save energy, reduce cost and increase efficiency. The third is to attach importance to the construction of enterprise culture, promote lean management, carry out labor competitions and technical competitions, promote training and learning through competition, and comprehensively improve the skills and technology level of employees. Fourth, we will stimulate internal impetus through innovation and excellence. At present, it has accumulated 2 provincial and ministerial science and technology achievement awards, and 9 provincial and ministerial QC achievement awards, including 2 first prizes. He has been authorized 2 invention patents, 14 utility model patents, 1 construction method of power Construction Group, and published 20 scientific and technological papers.

In recent years, the Westport project not only adheres to the principle of "extensive consultation, sharing and joint construction", jointly promotes the project development with the Cambodian government, and fulfills the corporate responsibility of building high-quality "Belt and Road", but also adheres to the concept of green development, and the investment in environmental protection facilities accounts for nearly 15% of the total investment of the project, and the environmental protection index is significantly ahead of the Cambodian national standard. In addition, the Westport project also takes the initiative to fulfill its social responsibilities, adhere to the localization of labor, recruit and train more than 60 local power technical talents, and employ more than 160 local logistics service personnel. At the same time, they also donated money to repair roads, donated money to the Red Cross, donated school buildings and donated school supplies to schools.
