China-asean cross-border supply chain innovation development
On August 10, the China-Asean Cross-border Supply Chain Innovation and Development Forum (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) with the theme of "New pattern, New Opportunities and new models" was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi.
The forum is the first of a series of activities under the framework of the 20th ASEAN-China Business and Investment Summit, co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Zhang Shaogang, Vice President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Sui Guohua, Vice President of Guangxi Autonomous Region, and Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, Member of the Malaysian Parliament, former Minister of Transport and President of the Malaysian Chinese Association attended and addressed the forum.
In his speech, Zhang Shaogang believed that the economic and trade relations between China and ASEAN have been deepening, and ASEAN has become China's largest trading partner for three consecutive years, forming an industrial cooperation layout of "you have me and you have me". The two sides have a solid foundation and urgent need to build a stable and efficient industrial and supply chain system between China and ASEAN, and put forward three proposals to jointly ensure smooth cross-border supply chains, steadily promote the innovation and development of cross-border supply chains, and effectively strengthen the resilience of cross-border supply chains.
In his speech, he said that Guangxi, as the window of China's opening up front to ASEAN, has achieved remarkable results in the comprehensive construction of an open and developed supply chain system in recent years, and Guangxi will continue to make efforts in related cooperation in the future to promote the deepening of economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN.
In his speech, Wei Jiaxiang introduced that at present, Malaysia and China have achieved great success in the efficient customs clearance cooperation in the aviation field, and the customs clearance time has been greatly reduced from 24 to 48 hours to only 1.5 hours, which has had a positive impact on the cross-border trade between China and Malaysia. As an important participant in the cross-border supply chain, Malaysia is also deeply engaged in the cross-border e-commerce field and helps maintain the stability of the cross-border supply chain through a variety of specific measures.
It is worth noting that the forum also released relevant outcomes in four aspects: domestic and foreign currency exchange settlement, cross-border two-way flow of RMB, customs clearance facilitation, and the construction of a comprehensive platform for cross-border supply chains.
Global Debut - Bank of Communications launched the RMB and Indonesian Rupiah settlement exchange through train service. This service opens up the blocking point of direct exchange between RMB and Indonesian Rupee, simplifies the complex exchange settlement procedures, and builds a two-way direct bridge between RMB and rupee for Chinese and Indonesian enterprises.
It is the first in the country to facilitate cross-border two-way flow of RMB, leading the country - cross-border investment, financing and fund flow facilitation business exceeded 25 billion yuan. The Administrative Committee of Qinzhou Port Area of Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone has issued the first batch of cross-border RMB two-way flow facilitation services in the country, directly handling cross-border RMB business under the capital account with the customer's receipt and payment instructions.
In addition, Nanning Customs issued the "five-step work method" of border protection and smooth innovation: advance prediction, daily attention, early warning, graded response, multi-modal transport. Guangxi Yunduo Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. released the China-Asean cross-border supply chain integrated service platform, providing one-stop cross-border trade services for enterprises from five aspects: logistics, customs, trade, finance and technology.
The forum also featured keynote speeches and guest dialogues. In the keynote speech session, the important guests have focused on the theme of the forum, combined with their respective fields, on the global supply chain, the development of logistics industry, the status quo of China-Asean cross-border supply chain, the coordinated development of industrial chain, and the new pattern of RCEP regional cross-border logistics industry.
In the guest dialogue session, relevant participants combined their respective fields, jointly focused on the status quo, pain points and opportunities of China-Asean cross-border supply chain, from the perspectives of port clearance measures innovation, supply chain finance innovation, enterprise technology application and business model innovation, and contributed solutions and wisdom to the construction of a stable, efficient and resilient China-Asean cross-border supply chain.
This forum is an international industry event focusing on the development of the real economy. More than 150 people from ASEAN business associations, experts and scholars, top executives of Fortune 500 and well-known enterprises, as well as representatives from relevant government departments in Beijing, Sichuan, Hainan and Guangxi attended the forum. The holding of the Forum will help improve regional logistics efficiency and supply chain coordination, promote high-level opening-up and trade and investment facilitation, accelerate the building of version 3.0 of the China-Asean Free Trade Area, boost the common economic growth of China and ASEAN, deepen more mutually beneficial bilateral and regional economic and trade relations, and promote the building of a closer China-Asean community of shared future.
