East Fair service new quality productivity development

  

Wei Zhaohui, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the China-Asean Expo (hereinafter referred to as the East Expo), recently introduced that the 22nd East Expo, scheduled to be held in September 2025, will set up the first new quality productivity museum, around artificial intelligence, low altitude economy and other hot spots, do a good series of investment promotion activities, and promote more high-quality project signing.

The 2025 Guangxi Two sessions are being held in Nanning. Wei Zhaohui, a member of the Guangxi Political Consultative Conference, said in an interview with a reporter from China New Net that Nanning is the permanent venue for the East Expo. Over the past 21 years, the East Expo has been serving China-Asean trade in goods and services, and continuously promoting bilateral exchanges and cooperation in key emerging industries such as green, low-carbon, digital technology, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, and helping expand cooperation areas between China and ASEAN.

Wei Zhaohui introduced that the 21st East Expo to be held in September 2024, a major highlight is the addition of new quality and productivity as the main content of strategic emerging topics, new digital technology, ASEAN high-tech products and other exhibition areas, focusing on digital technology, green low-carbon, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles and other emerging fields of the latest developments and technical level. High-tech achievements from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia were unveiled. At the East Expo, China and ASEAN signed more than 100 projects, mainly involving new energy, new materials and other strategic emerging industries.

The 2025 Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government work report proposed that we should base on Guangxi and face ASEAN, implement the "artificial intelligence +" action, and implement the digital new quality productivity cultivation action. Negotiations on version 3.0 of the China-Asean Free Trade Area have been substantially concluded and the agreement will be signed in 2025. The 3.0 upgrade covers nine areas, including digital economy, green economy, supply chain connectivity and other emerging areas with great cooperation potential between the two sides.

According to reports, the 22nd Dongbo will continue to focus on new quality productivity, set up the first new quality productivity museum, set up professional exhibition areas such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, low altitude economy (UAV), Beidou navigation application, and display the new quality productivity characterized by high technology, high efficiency and high quality. In terms of promoting the upgrading of ASEAN exhibits, the 22nd East Expo has promoted the latest products for the development of characteristic industries in ASEAN countries in accordance with the "one country, one case". Asean High-tech Products Exhibition Area actively organized Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and other key countries to participate in the exhibition.

The 22nd East Expo set up a new Blue Economy exhibition area to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and maritime ASEAN countries, and work together to build a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation. Increase the participation of green and low-carbon products, continue to select a number of new energy vehicles, photovoltaic products, hydrogen energy products, green building materials and other famous products to participate in the exhibition, and promote the development of China-Asean green trade.

The East Expo will also give full play to the role of central enterprises as the main force of "going global", continue to invite more central enterprises to participate in the exhibition, hold relevant investment cooperation activities, and reach a number of major projects for ASEAN cooperation in new infrastructure, connectivity, high-end manufacturing and so on. Provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central Government) covered by major national strategies, such as the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Hainan Free Trade Port, will be invited to hold promotional activities, which will highlight the linkage cooperation between emerging industrial clusters and the ASEAN market under the construction of the 3.0 version of the China-Asean Free Trade Area.

In addition, the East Expo will invite more countries to participate in the "Belt and Road", actively promote the establishment of institutional cooperation between major national business associations and the secretariat of the East Expo, and strive to expand the "circle of friends" of the East Expo. We will plan and hold activities such as trips to Guangxi by Fortune 500 and multinational enterprises, and continue to carry out trips to Guangxi by enterprises from countries under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) to share new opportunities for regional industrial cooperation.
