The China-Asean Digital Ecology Cooperation Forum was held in Bangkok

Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, said that the 27th China-Asean Leaders' Meeting held in October 2024 adopted the Joint Statement on Promoting the Establishment of Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Ecology Cooperation, which clarified the digital ecology as the focus of cooperation in the next stage, fully reflecting the common expectations of the two sides for digital development. Going forward, the two sides should promote inclusive cooperation, attach importance to sustainable development, adhere to openness and cooperation, and jointly build a sustainable and inclusive digital ecology.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, Baser Jantaralong, said that China's advanced experience in digital economy, infrastructure construction, 5G and artificial intelligence is conducive to empowering ASEAN's digital transformation, and looks forward to strengthening cooperation.
Asean Secretary-General Koh Kim Hong said ASEAN will continue to deepen cooperation with China to jointly build an inclusive and sustainable digital ecology.
Yu Xiaohui, President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, delivered a keynote speech, introducing the contribution of the digital economy to China's economic growth, sharing China's experience in digital transformation, and putting forward suggestions on China-Asean cooperation in the digital field.
This forum is an important measure to implement the consensus reached by leaders of China and ASEAN on cooperation. As an important supporting activity of the Fifth China-Asean Digital Ministerial Meeting, the Forum, with the theme of "Shaping a Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Future", aims to deepen exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in digital technology, industrial ecology and sustainable development.
The forum also invited government departments and business representatives from ASEAN countries and China to discuss the opportunities and challenges of emerging digital technologies and create an environmentally friendly digital future.
This forum has built a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the digital industries of China and ASEAN, and has been actively participated by all parties.
