Headline from ASEAN: The official website of the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit announced that on June 24th, the 22nd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Liaison Officials Conference was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi, China. Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Li Qingshuang, and Vice Governor of Guangxi Zhuo Pinshuo attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Representatives from the embassies and consulates of ASEAN countries in China, the National Trade Commission, and the China-ASEAN Center attended the meeting. The meeting informed about the activity proposals of the 22nd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and solicited opinions from representatives of ASEAN countries.

Li Qingshuang pointed out that as the highest-level, largest-scale and most influential international economic and trade event between China and ASEAN, the summit focuses on serving the business community, responding to demands, building consensus and promoting cooperation. In the current context of highly uncertain global economic prospects and the reconfiguration of the global industrial landscape through digital empowerment, the upgrade and development of the summit have brought new opportunities and challenges. To prepare for this year's summit, Vice President Li Qingshuang proposed three suggestions: contributing to the construction of the 3.0 version of the Free Trade Area, raising the prominent banner of openness and cooperation, focusing on cooperation in emerging fields, cultivating new growth momentum for regional economic development, and innovating the linkage functions of platforms to achieve new efficiency in resource integration of the summit.

Liao Pinshuo stated that after 21 years of development, the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit has played an important role in promoting the construction of the China-ASEAN community of shared future, practical cooperation in regional economic integration, and assisting the opening-up of Guangxi. This year's summit will focus on efforts in areas such as artificial intelligence empowerment, seizing the opportunities of the times. As the co-host and host of the summit, Guangxi will continue to provide excellent services for the summit and hopes to work with all parties to promote cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, enhance the stability and competitiveness of cross-border industrial and supply chains, and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation.

Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Secretariat, Yang Yanyan, informed about the proposed activity arrangements of the 22nd summit. The 22nd summit will be themed "Digital Empowerment for Development, Innovation Leading the Future - Using the New Opportunities of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 Edition to Build a Community of Shared Future", and will hold a series of "main activities + supporting economic activities + concurrent back-to-back activities", highlighting the core highlight of "artificial intelligence + summit", applying artificial intelligence technology throughout the pre-event, event-day, and post-event phases, making artificial intelligence visible, tangible, accessible, and reachable at the summit, and promoting the summit to become a public product and innovation platform for the regional business community to share the application results of artificial intelligence technology.

The attending representatives conducted in-depth discussions on the preparations and activity arrangements of the 22nd summit, unanimously agreed on the proposed activity arrangement plan, generally recognized the highlight of the summit as "artificial intelligence + summit", and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions. The attending representatives believed that with the close communication and joint efforts of all parties, and the active coordination and vigorous promotion of the summit secretariat, the activities of the 22nd summit will achieve complete success, promoting China-ASEAN economic cooperation to a new level.
