The 7th China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week opened in Bangkok.

  

Bangkok, June 27th (Reporter Li Yingmin) The 7th China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week, jointly organized by the National Radio and Television Administration of China, the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, the Thailand Media Development Foundation, and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, opened in Bangkok on the evening of June 26th.

Thailand's Deputy Minister of Culture Prompong, China's Deputy Director-General of the National Radio and Television Administration Dong Xin, and China's Vice Governor of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Hu Fan, Thailand's Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Prime Minister Sukhi, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Thailand Media Development Foundation Tanakorn attended the event and delivered speeches. The audio-visual media authorities of China and Thailand, mainstream media institutions, and diplomatic envoys from various ASEAN countries attended the opening ceremony.

Thailand's Deputy Minister of Culture Prompong delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of Thai Prime Minister Petchtanat, expressing gratitude to China for inviting Thailand to jointly host the Audio-Visual Week during the "50th Anniversary of Thailand-China Friendship". He stated that the China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week, as a strategic cooperation platform, has effectively promoted interaction and dialogue among government, enterprises, and the public sectors, and further promoted practical cooperation in the media and cultural fields.

China's Deputy Director-General of the National Radio and Television Administration Dong Xin delivered a speech, stating that the "China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week" jointly created by China and ASEAN has become an annual event for both sides to share friendship and discuss cooperation in the field of radio and television, playing a positive role in enhancing the people-to-people exchanges.

Vice Governor of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Hu Fan stated that in the field of audio-visual, Guangxi has achieved fruitful exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries. The China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week has successfully held six consecutive sessions, facilitating nearly 50 cooperation projects.

The leaders and guests attending the event jointly launched the 7th China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week. In the opening ceremony gala, representatives of young singers, film and television creators, artists, and young broadcasters from China and ASEAN, with the theme of "Film and Television Music" as the main thread, "Dialogue and Exchange" as the expression method, "Harmony and Coexistence" as the emotional connection, and "The Beauty of Rivers" as the medium means, connected the audio-visual narratives across the mountains and seas, presenting the fruitful achievements of cooperation in various fields between China and ASEAN.

Since its establishment in 2019, the China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week has held seven consecutive sessions, becoming a mechanism platform for media connectivity and mutual learning in the China-ASEAN media field.

The 7th China-ASEAN Audio-Visual Week will focus on four dimensions: humanities, industry, technology, and youth, and will revolve around the theme of "New Silk Road, New Exchange, New Audio-Visual", continuously exerting the role of the Audio-Visual Week brand as a public product for regional cooperation in radio and television, and effectively serving the exchange and prosperity development of the audio-visual industries among countries in the region.
