"We hope to jointly cultivate digital talents with the Chinese side. We look forward to Chinese enterprises sharing experiences in digital transformation and e-commerce operations, helping us better master relevant technologies and models." At the China-Vietnam Youth Dialogue held in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, Vietnamese young entrepreneur Pham Thi Ha said. Over the past decade, e-commerce has become an important pillar of digital economic development in both China and Vietnam.
The "Red Spark" study tour camp for Vietnamese young people to come to China for a "red-themed" study trip was held in Beijing and Shaanxi from January 1st to 8th. 200 Vietnamese young people, including young civil servants, Communist Youth League cadres, young media workers, young artists, young entrepreneurs and university students, came to China for visits. During their stay in Shaanxi, Vietnamese young people and Chinese young people from all walks of life conducted special discussions on themes such as scientific and technological innovation, economic cooperation and cultural exchange. During the exchanges, young entrepreneurs like Pham Thi Ha focused on the cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Chinese young people in the fields of e-commerce and other areas.
According to Pham Thi Ha, Vietnam's online retail scale will reach 25 billion US dollars in 2024. "As young entrepreneurs, we are constantly exploring new markets and promoting more Vietnamese products to the world," she said. She proposed that young Vietnamese and Chinese entrepreneurs should jointly strengthen market connections and exhibition cooperation, and showcase both sides' products through various channels such as offline exhibitions and online live broadcasts, to develop green and sustainable e-commerce models.
Vietnamese young entrepreneur Wu Qiangwei, with 19 years of experience in fruit import and export, is also optimistic about the potential of cooperation in the e-commerce field. She hopes to use a digital agricultural product trading platform to help Vietnamese specialty agricultural products enter the Chinese market more conveniently and further go global. "I also look forward to jointly building a high-tech agricultural cooperation zone with the Chinese side and promoting the application of smart agriculture technologies."
Entering Xi'an International Port Area, the tracks of the China-Europe Railway Express assembly center extend like steel arteries, and containers loaded with goods await departure in front of Vietnamese young people. This modern "steel caravan" is about to speed forward, transporting "Made in China" products and global goods to each other's markets. This scene, for Vietnamese young entrepreneurs focusing on e-commerce and logistics cooperation, has unfolded the most vivid blueprint for cooperation.
At Shaanxi Blower (Group) Co., Ltd., Vietnamese young people learned how the company's global operation center for energy interconnection islands manages over 8,000 pieces of equipment in real time through digitalization. They directly felt the advanced industrial technology and mature global operation model of China.
Vietnamese young entrepreneur Zheng Junjie said that China is Vietnam's largest trading partner and has achieved remarkable development achievements in solar energy, electric vehicles and green technology. Vietnam has young, energetic and creative human resources. "The complementary advantages of the two countries provide a golden opportunity for young entrepreneurs' cooperation."
"This trip convinces me that China-Vietnam economic cooperation is ushering in new opportunities," said Nguyen Anh Long, vice president of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Guangzi Province. "As young entrepreneurs, we should seize the opportunities of digital economic development, transform cooperation potential into practical results, and deepen mutual friendship."
