Gansu has frequent trade with Vietnam, and its "sweet" agricultural products radiate to AS

Lanzhou, April 17 (Xinhua) -- (Reporter Feng Zhijun) On the 17th, it was learned from Lanzhou Customs that due to the trade complementarity between Gansu and Vietnam in characteristic products such as mineral products, seeds, and fresh fruits and vegetables, and the continuous release of policy dividends such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), trade exchanges between Gansu and Vietnam have become increasingly frequent since the beginning of this year.

According to statistics from Lanzhou Customs, in the first quarter of this year, the value of imports and exports between Gansu Province and Vietnam reached 262 million yuan (RMB, the same below), increasing by 10.12% year-on-year. Among them, the total export value was 169 million yuan, increasing by 46.02% year-on-year.

In mid-April, 18 tons of fresh broccoli produced by an international trade company in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, was successfully dispatched to Vietnam after being inspected and released by Tianshui Customs under Lanzhou Customs. With the assistance of Tianshui Customs, our various agricultural products such as fresh apples, broccoli and lettuce have been successfully exported to Vietnam. Currently, Vietnam has become the main export destination for our company's products. The company's person in charge, An Xueqiang, said.

According to Lanzhou Customs, in recent years, with the in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, exporting Gansu's characteristic products to Vietnam through the "rail-sea intermodal transport" mode of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor has gradually become a mature route and is also the preferred way for enterprises. Under this approach, the customs clearance time for products is shorter and the transportation costs for enterprises are lower.

Nickel ore sands and concentrates from Vietnam, vegetable seeds, seeds of herbaceous and floral plants, etc. have smoothly entered Gansu Province. Fresh apples, melons, fresh grapes, dried red dates and other characteristic agricultural products from Gansu have also been placed on the dining tables of Vietnamese consumers.

In the first quarter of this year, the export of Jingning apples from Gansu Province to Vietnam reached a new high, with an export value exceeding 47.97 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.15%, becoming a new highlight of Gansu's apple exports. Lanzhou Customs stated that since the beginning of this year, Jingning apples have accelerated their layout in the Vietnamese market and have been transshipped to ASEAN countries such as Malaysia and Thailand.

As the leading representative of "sweet-tasting" agricultural products, Jingning apples are large in size, well-shaped, smooth on the surface, fine in texture, juicy, with a moderate balance of sweetness and sourness, strong in hardness, and good for storage and transportation. The favorable natural conditions and rich nutritional value have further endowed Jingning apples with the unique quality of being "both beautiful and intelligent, ecological and natural".
