Overseas Chinese businessmen from countries are again attending the Chain Expo

China News Service, Beijing, July 17th (Reporter Xu Wenxin) The third China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo (referred to as "Chain Expo") is currently being held in Beijing. Among the overseas Chinese merchants attending the expo, there are chain leaders who integrate multinational product portfolios, as well as industry representatives who have deeply engaged in multinational industrial chains. Recently, several "old friends" of the Chain Expo who participated in the event were interviewed by China News Service reporters to tell their Chain Expo stories.

"High-barrier-coated kraft paper, non-chlorofluorocarbon anti-oil food cards, future world copy paper... This year's Chain Expo saw us for the first time integrate the full product matrices of China and Indonesia, focusing on showcasing the practical achievements of the 'cross-border manufacturing long chain' and the 'green intelligence-enabled ecosystem chain' sections. The aim is to demonstrate the social responsibilities of 'foreign enterprises' and 'chain leaders' under these dual roles," said Zhai Jingli, vice president of APP (China) of the Kinglight Group, during an interview with China News Service reporters.

In 2024, Kinglight Group APP participated in the Chain Expo for the first time and became one of the first exhibitors to join the advanced manufacturing chain exhibition area. This "first experience" left Zhai Jingli deeply impressed by the resource integration and global influence of the Chain Expo. Participating in the Chain Expo again, Zhai Jingli said that the Chain Expo showcases China's commitment to promoting the stable development of global industrial chains and supply chains and achieving win-win outcomes, providing platform opportunities for enterprises from home and abroad to jointly build efficient supply chains.

"In the context of the accelerated reconfiguration of global industrial chains and supply chains and the deepening of regional economic integration, the annual holding of the Chain Expo is of profound significance," said Zhai Jingli. China's internationalization level of supply chains is increasing, and the perceptibility and accessibility of the chain are becoming stronger. The industrial chain is accelerating its upgrade to a win-win chain.

Liu Shaoyi, the director of the Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce, is the third time attending the Chain Expo. He introduced that this year's layout of the "6 chains 1 exhibition area" at the venue has made it more convenient for upstream and downstream enterprises to communicate and enabled more precise matching of cooperation partners.

As the host country of this year's Chain Expo, Thailand's participation scale and number of enterprises have significantly increased. Liu Shaoyi said that this year, the participating enterprises cover multiple fields such as automotive manufacturing, electronic technology, agricultural product processing, and emerging industries, including both mature large enterprises and dynamic start-ups.

"Exhibitors hope to use the Chain Expo to strengthen cooperation with China and other countries in industrial chains and supply chains," said Liu Shaoyi. Specifically, in the green agriculture field, relying on the excellent quality of Thai agricultural products, enterprises expect to further expand the Chinese market and promote agricultural modernization through enhanced agricultural technology exchanges and cooperation; in the digital technology field, leveraging Thailand's recent active development of the digital economy, enterprises hope to carry out technological cooperation and talent exchanges with China to help Thailand upgrade related industries. The Chain Expo has provided a platform for these cooperation needs.

Li We, the executive chairman of the Australia-China Cultural and Economic Promotion Association, is the second time participating in the Chain Expo. Li We has been in the wine industry for many years. He introduced that the industrial chain of wine is long, with each link affecting the quality and market competitiveness of the product. At the Chain Expo, one can find "chain partners" at every link from the field to the user's table.

"The Chain Expo is not a mere accumulation of single exhibits, but a full-chain collaboration and in-depth connection. This supply-demand precise matching and cross-border integration industrial ecosystem is unparalleled by other exhibitions," said Li We. He is most concerned about the Innovation Chain section and looks forward to encountering new solutions such as digital logistics, green and low-carbon materials, and flexible production here.

Currently, Li We has preliminarily reached cooperation intentions with upstream enterprises in agricultural technology, intelligent logistics, and new packaging materials. He hopes to continue seeking cooperation in packaging boxes and digital supply chains. "The value of the Chain Expo is not only to facilitate transactions, but also to inject innovative water and collaborative momentum into the industrial chain," he said.
